CO2 Performance ladder

Since July 2010, Strukton has been certified for level 5 on the CO2 performance ladder. The CO2 performance ladder stimulates companies that take part in tender procedures to be CO2 conscious, both in their own business operations and when implementing projects. A higher level on the CO2 performance ladder means a greater chance of being awarded a project.

Certification for the CO2 performance ladder largely depends on:

  • energy-savingefficient
  • use of materials
  • use of sustainable energy

Developed by ProRail

The CO2 performance ladder was first developed by ProRail in 2009 and used for calls to tender in the rail sector. In March 2011, ProRail transferred ownership of the CO2 performance ladder to Stichting Klimaatvriendelijk Aanbesteden & Ondernemen. Strukton represents Bouwend Nederland in the Central Board of Experts of the CO2 performance ladder.
