For the Randstadrail public transport link, Strukton Prefab Beton constructed platform units for the following stations: Laan van Nieuw-Oost-Indië, Forepark, Voorburg ’t Loo, Vlietbrug, Oosterheem, Nootdorp and Pijnacker-Zuid.
The platforms at Vlietbrug station were built with platform slabs laid on beams that are supported by frames. This structure is a necessity, as part of the site has no dike or slope to support the foundation. Strukton Prefab Beton is specialised in structures of this type and builds the necessary components. Station Vlietbrug also runs over a viaduct. For this purpose, Strukton produced three basic types of platform slab and many fitting units, the support beams and end beams, the standard U-model beams and modified T trusses, and the stairways to the platforms. Because this station spans a road, a viaduct was also constructed. Strukton Prefab Beton built the required retaining walls and abutments.
