Rivierenland Waste Removal

At the behest of Grontmij Nederland B.V., Strukton Industriebouw built the substructure of a transshipment depot in Geldermalsen, in the province of Gelderland. The substructure is equipped with a slanting concrete outer wall, with a local thickness of 1 metre and features a special black KEIM layer. Although the original intention was for Strukton Industriebouw to add a colouring agent to the concrete mortar, Industriebouw – bearing in mind the amount of concreting and the scale – persuaded the client to use the colour on the walls after the process was completed. The result is stunning.

The steel superstructure has a metallic plate finish, and will be equipped with three bright-orange overhead doors. In addition, a personnel unit was also constructed, consisting of a wooden frame structure placed on the piled concrete floor. Furthermore, the building is equipped with all modern facilities, including a luxury interior and a special, epoxy-coated floor.
