Strukton completes Rasenberg acquisition

Following the press release of 20 September 2012, Strukton Civiel BV and Rasenberg Holding BV have reached a final agreement on the acquisition of the infrastructure operations and environmental operations of Rasenberg. The effective acquisition date is 7 January 2013.

The operations being taken over are:

  • Rasenberg Wegenbouw BV (road construction and asphalt production)
  • Rasenberg Verkeer & Mobiliteit BV (dynamic traffic management)
  • Reanco BV (noise control facilities)
  • Recycling & Overslag Breda BV (recycling and storage) and the associated participating interests in Van Rens BV (traffic engineering)
  • Recycling Overslag Schiedam BV (recycling and storage) 
  • part of the environmental operations focused on the Dutch market

The operations will form a separate business within Strukton Civiel.

The acquisition is in line with the strategic development within Strukton Civiel of nationwide coverage for its road construction operations in the Netherlands. This acquisition will consolidate Strukton Civiel’s regional position and at the same time consolidate its position in terms of major integrated infrastructure contracts and supply chain integration.

The current directors will continue to manage Rasenberg’s operations, which are divided up into a number of operating companies in construction, development, underground infrastructure and process technology.
