Traffic control

More than sixteen million people travel in cars, trains, on bicycles or on foot in every corner of the Netherlands. The resulting traffic is very concentrated for a small country. And it requires intensive maintenance, such as roadworks, to guarantee good accessibility. Van Rens mobiliteit makes sure that when there are roadworks the traffic is steered in the right direction with the minimum of disruption. Minimum disruption means safety, the shortest possible implementation times and the lowest possible traffic congestion. Good traffic flow avoids irritation and is better for the environment.

Thousands of people use the Dutch road network every day. For this reason, it’s important to maintain the roads properly − and it’s just as important to do this without disrupting road users. Strukton Verkeerstechnieken implements roadworks quickly and safely with the minimum of disruption because we work outside the rush-hour and in phases, where possible.

Serving traffic, from design to execution

Thousands of people use the Dutch road network every day. For this reason, it’s important to maintain the roads properly − and it’s just as important to do this without disrupting road users. Strukton Verkeerstechnieken implements roadworks quickly and safely with the minimum of disruption because we work outside the rush-hour and in phases, where possible.

When working on roads, tunnels and locks, Strukton Verkeerstechnieken tries to create a permanent situation, such as traffic lights, tunnel systems, intercoms and ventilation. In addition to traffic and tunnel technology, the following spearheads are also important:

  • Traffic measures
  • Mobility management
  • Traffic modelling

Developing traffic technology involves more than just implementing traffic systems. Besides being used on the roads, traffic technologies are also applied in projects, from the plan of action right up to project delivery. Our starting principle has always been to think along with our clients and partners. We sit with them at the planning table, and we jointly create a design and write scenarios so that we can develop traffic technologies faster and with less disruption.

Minimum disruption, maximum traffic flow

Van Rens mobiliteit is responsible for smart traffic management during roadworks. We minimise or prevent inconvenience and keep the traffic flowing, using up-to-date information, wide and flexible traffic lanes, and clear lineation and signing, clear segregation and diversions. That’s our goal when designing and implementing temporary traffic measures.
